The Palazzo’s vast first floor two bedroom apartment, L’Isola Comacina, overlooks the island of the same name on the far side of Lake Como. Guests can access the apartment from the main staircase or from the private entrance to the right of the main gate. Furnished with beautiful period pieces, the living area has original cotto floors, an antique fireplace, timber beam ceilings, a pianoforte and a step-out balcony above the courtyard (known to inspire renditions of “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina”!).
An internal staircase leads to the zona notte with two bedrooms and a large bathroom featuring a separate bath and shower, with another full shower room downstairs. The spacious kitchen has a working antique fireplace as well as everything you need to rustle up your favorite Italian dishes. Take your meals by the fire in the kitchen or under the dark beams of the covered terrace while gazing out over the deep blue lake.
